Liam Castellan is the Recipient of the Social Impact Software Provider’s Rising Star Award
Shakespeare & Company has announced that Development Operations and Database Manager Liam Castellan has been recognized in the 2025 Blackbaud Impact Awards, which celebrate organizations and people achieving results and driving impact with technology from Blackbaud, the leading provider of software for powering social impact.
Castellan won the Rising Star Award in recognition of his technical skills and strategic vision, which, according to Blackbaud’s assessment, “positions him as an emerging leader who elevates the entire organization’s effectiveness.”
Blackbaud’s Chief Customer Officer, Todd Lant, said the 2025 award recipients exemplify how innovative use of technology can drive meaningful change for the missions and communities they support.
“Every day our teams at Blackbaud show up to create and deliver exceptional technology to power these organizations, and we’re honored to play a small role in their success,” he said. “We’re excited to celebrate our customers’ accomplishments through the Blackbaud Impact Awards — it’s stories like this that motivate us to continue pushing the needle for social impact technology.”
Shakespeare & Company’s Director of Development Sunie Gorey added that she’s pleased to see Castellan’s contributions to the company’s development efforts recognized on a national level.
“We are so proud of Liam for being recognized with the Rising Star Award at the 2025 Blackbaud Impact Awards! Liam’s innovation, dedication, and leadership shine every day at Shakespeare & Company — and now the world knows it too. Congrats, Liam!”
The Blackbaud Impact Awards were created to spotlight the work of its customers worldwide. Blackbaud customers from across the globe were invited to nominate their organizations and leaders across seven award categories, and finalists included organizations and individuals from across the social impact community, including nonprofits, schools and universities, healthcare institutions, and other purpose-driven companies.
Blackbaud will celebrate winners at bbcon 2025, its annual technology conference.
