Shakespeare & Company seeks a seasonal, part-time or full-time Facilities Associate for late May through late August, weekends required.

The Facilities Associate responsibilities include general grounds-keeping, mowing, and weeding; trail, walkway and road maintenance; some operation of vehicles, power and heavy equipment; ordering and maintaining supplies; general building maintenance including mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, light carpentry and painting projects; vehicle and equipment maintenance; assistance with company activities’ and programs’ set up and clean up; on-site trash hauling and recycling; working to insure buildings are in a safe and sanitary condition when occupied, and secure when unoccupied.  This position will require access to email and text; a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; a familiarity with power and hand tools; sitting, standing, pushing and pulling, climbing and stooping; reaching with hands and arms; use of hands to finger objects and controls; lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds; close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision; and reading of written, printed and/or computer screen data.

 

Dates are late May through September 1, 2024, including Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and additional hours each week. Salary $17.50 per hour, 30 to 40 hours per week depending upon availability.
