The Shakespeare & Company Annual Fund
Whether through Shakespeare & Company’s world-class productions, life-changing Education programs, or inspiring Training opportunities, our donors are enriching people’s lives through the power of live theater.
The Education Program Fund
One of the most extensive arts-in-education programs in the Northeast, Shakespeare & Company reaches more than 40,000 students and teachers each year with innovative, socially responsive, and educationally challenging performances, workshops, and residencies. Contributions to the Education Program Fund go toward supporting the Fall Festival of Shakespeare; the Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare; In-School Residencies and Workshops; Shakespeare in the Courts; Shakespeare & Young Company; Riotous Youth; Professional Development Workshops, and more. Dennis Krausnick Fellowship Fund
The Dennis Krausnick Fellowship Fund was established in 2018 to provide scholarships for Global Majority artists to train at Shakespeare & Company’s Center for Actor Training, as well as become teachers of our work. The Dennis Krausnick Fellowship Fund also supports periodic retreats, bringing teachers and trainees together to brainstorm about the direction of the work, to strengthen the Training program, and determine how to collaborate and celebrate more deeply.
The Philip Heller Distinguished Service Award Fund
Established in 2019, The Philip Heller Distinguished Service Award Fund was created by Anita Heller in memory of her husband Philip Heller, who served as pro bono legal counsel to Shakespeare & Company from its inception in 1978 until his death in 2018. Recognizing Philip’s commitment to community service and tireless support of the Shakespeare & Company property, the Philip Heller Distinguished Service Award Fund will be awarded annually to a member of the community for their extraordinary service to Shakespeare & Company.

Joining The Stratford Circle, our Planned Giving program, is a powerful way to support Shakespeare & Company’s mission of bringing integrated and sustainable performance, training, and education programs to our community.
