Shakespeare & Company announces another day of Equity Principle Auditions in Lenox, MA on Sunday, February 22.

Actors sought for 2026 SPT season in Lenox, Massachusetts.

$697.00/week and $784.00/week, contracts pending:

  • Fireflies: by Matthew Barber: 5/26-7/19, SPT 7 at $697.00/week;
  • Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune: by Terrence McNally: 7/5-8/23, SPT 8 at $784.00/week;
  • The Norwegians: by C. Denby Swanson: 8/11-10/4, SPT 7 at $697.00/week    

At the auditions:Producing Associate, Ariel Bock and/or Artistic Director, Allyn Burrows.

Audition Dates & Times: SPT auditions will be Sunday, February 22nd from 10-1:30 and 2:15-5:45, by appointment; walk-ups and non-Equity applicants will be seen as time permits.

For the Auditions: Prepare one short Shakespearean, classical or contemporary monologue; bring resume and headshot stapled together to your audition appointment. Equity Members must bring their Equity Membership card to auditions.

Available roles and *pre-cast roles: All roles that are listed as “pre-cast” have been cast without auditions; for *pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

  • Eugene Claymire – (a non-Equity role) 30’s, he/him, a sweet policeman but not the sharpest pencil in the box
