Shakespeare & Company Announces NYC Weekend Actor Training Intensive

Shakespeare & Company’s Center for Actor Training has announced an addition to its Spring programming – the NYC Weekend Intensive, slated for Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood.

Designed for professional actors and theater students who seek an introduction to Shakespeare & Company’s training methods, as well as alumni who wish to refresh and reconnect with the work, this two-day workshop immerses participants in Shakespeare’s text, voice, and movement techniques, led by expert faculty from the Company’s world-renowned training program.

Auditions Now Open for Shakespeare & Company’s 48th Season

Shakespeare & Company has announced that auditions are now open for its 48th season, offering opportunities for actors to join a diverse lineup of productions. Season 2025 will include LORT D and SPT contracts, with productions set to take place at Shakespeare & Company venues in Lenox, Mass., including the Tina Packer Playhouse, the Arthur S. Waldstein Amphitheatre, and the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre.

Shakespeare & Company has announced the cast of the Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare’s production of Macbeth, directed by Kevin G. Coleman and Kirstin L. Daniel.
From February 17 through May 2, The Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare unleashes the dark and powerful tale of Shakespeare’s Macbeth: murder, madness, and magic. Daniel, also Shakespeare & Company’s Education Tour and Professional Development Manager, explained that the cast presents full productions of the play, post-show forums, and various related workshops in middle and high schools, colleges, and other venues across the Northeast.
