Molly Merrihew

Molly is an arts executive and nonprofit leader with more than 15 years of experience across nonprofit theater and the arts and entertainment sector. She has collaborated with organizations, artists, and clients ranging from grassroots ensembles to multimillion-dollar institutions. A passionate advocate for the Berkshire arts community, her work has also brought her to Boston and New York City. From activist art in found spaces to large-scale Shakespeare festivals and award-winning audiobook launches, Molly is energized by bold artists, creative collaboration, and lifelong learning. Molly is the Executive Director of Shakespeare & Company. Most recently, she spent six years at WAM Theatre as Managing Director, where she also served for four years as Artistic Associate. Earlier in her career, Molly spent eight years at Shakespeare & Company in Public Relations and Communications. Before moving to the Berkshires, she worked at Florida Studio Theatre. In addition to her full-time leadership roles, Molly has led consulting projects for artist organizations and creative initiatives as a strategist, project manager, and fundraising consultant. Molly holds a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University, an M.S. in Arts Administration and Fundraising Management from Boston University, and a B.A. in Theatre and English–Creative Writing from SUNY Potsdam. Most recently, she completed the Transformational Leadership Program for Non-Profit Leaders at Kripalu. Molly loves soaking up the vibrant arts scene and dense forests of the Berkshires; you may cross paths with her if you are taking in a show at a local theater, wandering through a new art exhibit, or hiking one of the many beautiful trails of Berkshire and Columbia County.
