Barry R. Shapiro is the retired Chair of the Corporate Practice Group at Meyer, Suozzi, English and Klein, P.C. He also serves as Chairman and President of the Dr. Robert C. & Tina Sohn Foundation.  He is a Life Trustee and Vice Chairman Emeritus of public television station WNET where he was a Vice Chairman from 2003 through 2006. He previously served as Chairman of public television station WLIW21, the Long Island Philharmonic and the New York College for Wholistic Health, Education and Research.  In addition to Shakespeare & Co., he presently serves on the boards of the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, the Viscardi Center and the New Marlborough Village Association.  Mr. Shapiro is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and Hofstra University and resides in New Marlborough, Massachusetts where he has been elected town moderator for the past three years.
