Shakespeare & Company seeks seasonal, part-time or full-time Wardrobe Staff for late June through late August.

The Wardrobe Staff responsibilities include preparation of costumes for each performance, assisting actors into and out of costumes, presetting backstage changes, performing quick changes, resetting costumes at end of show, daily maintenance and cleaning of costumes and occasionally, wigs, for assigned productions from technical rehearsals through closing. This position is one of a team of two working on our Outdoor Mainstage production, Comedy of Errors and Winter’s Tale, with 10–12 actors. Some shop hours may be required as well, other duties as assigned.  Previous experience, good people skills, good sewing skills, and some understanding of garment construction preferred. This position will require access to email and text; sitting, standing, pushing and pulling, climbing and stooping; reaching with hands and arms; use of hands to finger objects and controls; lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds; and reading of written, printed and/or computer screen data.

 

Dates are June 24 through August 25, 2024. Salary $16.00 per hour, with local housing available.
